Kings and Scribes: The Birth of a Nation | Winchester Cathedral
Kings and Scribes: The Birth of a Nation is a landmark new permanent exhibition at Winchester Cathedral. This fascinating exhibition explores over 1,000 years of history and reveals why Winchester Cathedral is one of the most historically significant buildings in Britain.
Elbow were commissioned to produce a number of films and interactives for the exhibition. Highlights include a large-scale interactive installation inspired by the Cathedral’s great West Window, allowing visitors to create their own bespoke stained glass panel, and a “Pepper’s Ghost” illusion for the reconstructed St Swithun’s Shrine, re-imagining medieval pilgrims visiting this sacred space.
